The Minister reviewed a detailed presentation from DP World highlighting the latest measures implemented to enhance the customs clearance process and reduce the time required to release goods.

In addition, the presentation featured the upgraded digitized export cycle, which integrates all entities within the export process, alongside electronic connectivity with shipping lines, shipping agencies, and container terminals.
This landmark project is designed to transform the industrial inspection system, ensuring products comply with the highest international quality and safety standards. It will significantly accelerate customs clearance, strengthen Egyptian exports with internationally recognized inspection certificates, and protect the domestic market from non-compliant products. Equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, the laboratories will also serve as a cornerstone in consolidating Ain Sokhna Port’s position as a premier gateway for trade and investment.
Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Eng. Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, stated:

We will continue regular field follow-ups to safeguard the progress achieved in reducing customs clearance time and cost, and in strengthening the competitiveness of Egyptian ports as regional and global logistics hubs.”
