Ehab Said, Head of the Telecoms and E-Payments Division at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and a Board Member of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, stated that the Alamein Festival presents a golden opportunity to promote Egypt both locally and internationally. He emphasized that the festival is no longer just a musical or entertainment event but has evolved into an integrated economic and cultural platform that stimulates investment and yields tangible economic returns.

In press remarks today, Said praised the state’s success in turning the festival into a pivotal event that drives broad economic movement, especially in the North Coast and New Alamein, by attracting local and foreign investments. He added that hosting a festival of this scale annually boosts Egypt’s status as a capable organizer of major events, reflecting the readiness of Egypt’s infrastructure and organization capabilities, and enhancing investor confidence in the Egyptian market.

The third edition of the New Alamein Festival is set to launch on Friday, July 18, running until August 29, with the city hosting a variety of concerts, cultural, and tourism activities that attract visitors from inside and outside Egypt.

Said pointed out that the festival has become a major tourism magnet, increasing hotel occupancy rates and doubling visitor numbers. He explained that leisure tourism plays a vital role in energizing the local economy by creating both temporary and permanent job opportunities and boosting revenues in sectors like hospitality, transportation, and retail.

The Cairo Chamber board member noted that the festival’s repeated success has prompted many local and international companies to reconsider their expansion plans, positioning New Alamein as a strategic base for their future operations. He stressed that the real estate momentum and the spike in rental and sales demand during the festival reflect the event’s positive market impact.

He further highlighted New Alamein’s success in building a positive image as a promising tourism and investment destination, especially with its advanced infrastructure, logistics, widespread hotels, restaurants, commercial centers, educational and healthcare institutions, and services that support year-round living and business—not just in the summer season.

Said confirmed that the festival generates over 5,000 direct and indirect job opportunities in organization, security, hospitality, and services, while attracting around 3.5 million visitors during its run, boosting tourism and raising hotel occupancy to record levels.

The Telecom Division head stressed that the festival is a model of public-private partnership in supporting the national economy. He noted growing investor interest in telecommunications and fintech sectors in the region, given its robust digital infrastructure and flexible regulatory environment.

He described the festival’s third edition as a launchpad for maximizing the region’s economic and cultural potential, calling for further investment in specialized events to strengthen Egypt’s position on the global investment and tourism map and to open new prospects for investors across various sectors.

Said also praised the pivotal role of the United Media Services Company in organizing the festival, asserting that their professionalism and meticulous planning have greatly contributed to the event’s success and elevated the experience for visitors and investors alike. This, he said, reflects the company’s commitment to supporting tourism and economic development in the region.

He concluded that the Alamein Festival is now part of the state’s comprehensive development strategy aimed at transforming the North Coast into an integrated hub for development and investment by connecting it to smart transport networks, modern ports, and advanced industrial zones, ultimately enhancing the national economy and elevating Egypt’s regional standing as an investment and tourism magnet.
