Ahmed Abu Raya, Chairman of Black Diamond, said the company’s participation in the events alongside its strategic partner, the Embassy of Oman in Cairo, reflects its commitment to supporting economic and investment events that contribute to the economies of both countries and strengthening ties between their business communities and investors.
Abu Raya said the two forums provided an inspiring experience for investors from both countries, given the scale of investment opportunities and areas of cooperation discussed during the events.
He noted that bilateral trade between Egypt and Oman currently stands at around $750 million, underscoring the need for further efforts to strengthen economic cooperation in line with the scale of available investment opportunities.
Abu Raya also praised Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of Oman to Egypt, for his efforts to strengthen investment partnerships between investors in the two countries, particularly in the real estate, industrial and tourism sectors.
He pointed out that around 700 Egyptian companies are currently investing in Oman, including approximately 140 companies with significant investments, while the Egyptian market hosts around 144 Omani-invested companies.
According to Abu Raya, these figures provide a strong foundation for expanding investment cooperation and developing broader economic partnerships between Egypt and Oman.
