Alexandria Governorate will host the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol on July 30 between Saudi German Hospital – Alexandria Branch and Conceive Center for IVF and Infertility Treatment, in a step aimed at supporting Egypt’s medical tourism sector and strengthening the country’s position as a leading regional destination for infertility treatment and assisted reproductive technologies.

The protocol is part of a broader strategy to attract patients from Arab and African countries by leveraging Egypt’s advanced medical capabilities, particularly in the fields of IVF and assisted reproductive technology (ART). Over recent years, Egypt has achieved remarkable progress in these specialties, recording high success rates compared with many international markets while offering highly competitive treatment costs, making it an attractive destination for patients seeking fertility care.
The agreement aims to unify the efforts of the participating medical institutions by providing integrated healthcare services that meet the highest quality standards. It also seeks to develop specialized programs for international patients and facilitate access to comprehensive medical care and supporting services throughout their treatment journey.
The signing ceremony is expected to be attended by a number of distinguished medical, executive, and diplomatic figures, including the Head of the Alexandria Medical Syndicate, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Alexandria, along with senior officials involved in healthcare and medical tourism.
Invitations have also been extended to representatives of several diplomatic missions and consulates, including the Consul of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Consul of Libya, the Consul of Lebanon, as well as representatives of the Turkish, Chinese, and French consulates, in addition to members of the business community and the healthcare sector.
Officials from the Health Council of the Businessmen’s Association and the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce have also been invited to participate, reflecting the importance of strengthening cooperation between the healthcare sector and private businesses to enhance Egypt’s position on the global medical tourism map.
The organizers emphasized that Egypt possesses strong advantages that qualify it to become a regional hub for infertility treatment, thanks to its highly experienced medical professionals, specialized physicians, state-of-the-art fertility centers, and treatment costs that remain significantly lower than those in many other countries.
The new partnership also aims to establish stronger communication channels with patients across Arab and African countries, increasing awareness of the advanced fertility services available in Egypt—particularly IVF and assisted reproduction—which is expected to boost inbound medical tourism and contribute to the national economy.
This protocol aligns with the Egyptian government’s ongoing efforts to maximize the potential of the healthcare sector as one of the country’s most promising industries and to position Egypt as a regional center for specialized medical services, supported by qualified healthcare professionals and continuously expanding modern medical infrastructure.
