Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, toured the Chery pavilion during his visit to Automorrow 2026, held at the Nasr City Exhibition Grounds from 5 to 8 February.

During the visit, El-Wazir received a detailed briefing from Saad Habib, COO of passenger cars at GB Auto, on Chery’s latest models showcased at the exhibition. The lineup was led by the locally assembled Arrizo 6 GT, marking its first local production in the Egyptian market, alongside a range of advanced models including the Tiggo 9, Tiggo 8 PRO MAX, Tiggo 7 PRO MAX, and Arrizo 8.

The Minister also reviewed Chery’s smart technologies, advanced safety systems, and modern connectivity solutions, reflecting the brand’s commitment to supporting local manufacturing, enhancing consumer value, and expanding advanced mobility solutions in line with the requirements of the Egyptian market and the government’s strategy to localize the automotive industry.
