MGS Industry Group organized a workshop titled “Feasibility Study on How to Start a Small Business in the Textile Industry” at the company’s headquarters, attended by a group of young entrepreneurs and individuals interested in the sector.

The workshop began with an introductory session for attendees, followed by a lecture delivered by Eng. Mahmoud Ghazal, a member of the Textile Industries Chamber and the Home Textiles Division of the Export Council. He provided a comprehensive vision on the fundamentals of feasibility studies and the key factors influencing the success of small businesses in the textile industry, with a focus on available opportunities and challenges that new investors might face.

In a statement, Eng. Mahmoud Ghazal said: “The textile industry is one of the most significant industrial sectors, offering great opportunities for those looking to invest. However, success requires a thorough market study and an understanding of challenges such as production costs and competition.” He added that the workshop aims to equip young people with the necessary knowledge to make informed decisions when starting their businesses.

He further explained that the workshop seeks to increase the number of qualified professionals entering the textile industry. He highlighted the sector’s significant contribution to the Egyptian economy, noting that the garment manufacturing industry accounts for 3% of the GDP and employs about one-third of Egypt’s industrial workforce. At the same time, Egypt has become globally competitive in terms of labor costs.

Ghazal emphasized that MGS Group is fully prepared to contribute in any way possible to support and assist young entrepreneurs in starting their businesses. The workshop also included an open Q&A session, followed by a field tour inside the MGS Industry factory, where attendees had the opportunity to explore production stages and learn about the latest manufacturing technologies.

The workshop concluded with a feedback session with participants, who expressed their appreciation for the content provided and emphasized the importance of such events in enhancing industrial awareness and empowering new entrepreneurs.
