Saudi Egyptian Developers Signs Strategic Partnership with Audio Technology and Schneider Electric

to Implement and Manage Advanced Technology Systems at Central New Cairo

by Marwa Abo Almajd

Saudi Egyptian Developers has entered into a strategic partnership with Audio Technology and Schneider Electric to implement a range of specialized works and solutions at its Central project in New Cairo. The partnership builds on the developer’s strategic collaboration with Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC), aimed at delivering the project by leveraging leading specialized expertise and adhering to the highest technical and operational standards, in line with the company’s vision of creating an integrated destination combining business, retail and entertainment.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mohamed El-Taher, CEO of Saudi Egyptian Developers; Emad Adly, CEO of Audio Technology; and Rami Mostafa, Vice President of Buildings and Distribution for Schneider Electric North Africa and the Levant. Mohamed Tarek, Regional Managing Director of CCC for North Africa, also attended as one of the project’s key implementation partners.

Under the partnership, Audio Technology will serve as the project’s main systems integrator, drawing on its extensive experience in audiovisual systems design and security solutions management. The systems to be provided include surveillance cameras, access control, fire alarm systems, parking management, wayfinding and billing systems, digital signage, telephony systems, public address systems, a command and control center, as well as network infrastructure and its components.

Schneider Electric, meanwhile, will provide the Building Management System (BMS) and AVEVA System Platform through its network of certified systems integrators.

The roles of Audio Technology and Schneider Electric will complement the project’s other strategic partnerships, particularly CCC, which is serving as the main contractor for Central and overseeing the implementation of the project’s smart systems and solutions.

Together, these partnerships are contributing to the development of an integrated technology infrastructure that will support a smart operating ecosystem capable of efficiently managing and monitoring various systems. The solutions are also expected to improve operational performance, optimize resource utilization, enhance security, and facilitate movement and accessibility, supporting Central’s strategy of leveraging technology to elevate service standards and provide residents and visitors with a more convenient and efficient experience.

Mohamed El-Taher, CEO of Saudi Egyptian Developers, expressed his appreciation for the cooperation with Audio Technology and Schneider Electric, describing both companies as leading specialists in the implementation of advanced technical and operational systems and building management solutions.

He stressed the company’s commitment to selecting the best partners with proven expertise, professionalism and strong track records to deliver its projects according to the highest standards of efficiency and innovation. El-Taher also highlighted the previously signed partnership with CCC as part of the project’s implementation plans, noting that it has already resulted in the delivery of a number of innovative works and solutions.

He added that the continued signing of strategic partnerships reflects the company’s focus on ensuring sustainability at Central through the technological infrastructure, solutions and systems provided by its partners.

El-Taher noted that the company is keen to deploy smart solutions as part of its expansion plans for the project, while maintaining its target of delivering Central within three years in accordance with the planned schedule. This, he said, supports the company’s objective of developing an integrated destination meeting international standards, reflecting customer expectations and keeping pace with developments in the local and regional markets.

Emad Adly, CEO of Audio Technology, said the shift toward developing a smart city goes beyond being a conventional project, describing it as an ambitious and qualitative step toward the future of urban innovation.

He explained that, as the project’s main systems integrator, Audio Technology is proud to lead a new era of connected living by integrating advanced security and protection systems, sophisticated audiovisual infrastructure and smart building management systems into a unified and integrated platform, namely Schneider Electric’s AVEVA platform.

Adly added that the advanced city operations center represents a key pillar of the system, providing communities with broader visibility, faster response capabilities and smarter management. He noted that Audio Technology’s selection for this role reflects the capabilities of its team in coordinating and managing multiple complex systems that will contribute to shaping the cities of the future.

Rami Mostafa, Vice President of Buildings and Distribution for Schneider Electric North Africa and the Levant, said Schneider Electric is proud to serve as a technology partner for Central.

He explained that the future of buildings is not simply about having access to the latest technologies, but rather their ability to leverage technology and data to achieve greater efficiency, flexibility and sustainability throughout their lifecycle.

Mostafa pointed out that Schneider Electric’s AVEVA System Platform and EcoStruxure Building Operations constitute the project’s digital foundation by connecting different systems and data within an integrated ecosystem. This will provide a comprehensive view of operational performance, transform real-time data into actionable insights, support smarter decision-making, improve operational and asset management efficiency, and enhance the user experience.

He added that the true value of smart buildings is achieved when technology is integrated with operational vision and the expertise of partners. Such integration enables buildings to respond more effectively to users’ needs and operational changes while optimizing resource utilization and reducing energy consumption and emissions.

Mostafa emphasized that this integration represents a key step toward transforming Central into a smarter, more efficient and more flexible destination, enhancing the project’s long-term value and offering an advanced model for leveraging technology to build a more sustainable future for Egypt’s real estate sector.

Central is one of Saudi Egyptian Developers’ flagship projects during its more than 50-year presence in the Egyptian market. The signing of the new partnerships comes as part of the company’s efforts to accelerate construction activities and support the project’s targets according to the established timeline, further strengthening Central’s position as an integrated mixed-use destination in New Cairo.

The project spans 21 feddans and occupies a strategic location directly on North and South Teseen Streets and Mohamed Naguib Axis. The location provides convenient access from different parts of New Cairo, with the project situated approximately 20 minutes from downtown Cairo, 20 minutes from the New Administrative Capital and 18 minutes from Cairo International Airport.

Central is designed as an advanced mixed-use destination in the heart of New Cairo, offering an integrated environment with activities operating throughout the day. The project was designed in collaboration with WATG, one of the world’s leading consultancy firms, alongside Turner International Middle East (TIME), which is responsible for project management, and ACE-PM, the project’s supervision consultant.

The development will feature premium office spaces, a comprehensive retail experience, a diverse selection of cafés and restaurants, as well as dedicated family entertainment areas offering interactive experiences for different age groups. The project aims to bring together business, shopping, social activities and entertainment within a single integrated destination.
