The “30 Days of Goodness and We Continue” campaign is part of the “Filling Their Hearts with Happiness” initiative launched by PepsiCo Egypt during the holy month in previous years, as part of its strategy to develop the communities it operates in. In this context, PepsiCo Egypt is working to provide clean water networks in villages such as Kafr al-Dawar in Beheira, Manshiyat Suleiman, Atfih, Kafr al-Waslin, Bani Saleh, Azzbat al-Saigh, Masjid Musa, Al-Ashrafiya in Giza, Shwein, Sanita, Ibshwat, Al-Manasha Al-Kubra, Dufar in Tanta, and finally Bahinsa, Sandafa, Abu Adain, and Farjanan in Minya.
The campaign also includes setting up four Iftar tables to welcome more than 4,000 individuals daily for Iftar and Suhoor, totaling over 100,000 meals throughout the holy month. Additionally, thousands of food boxes containing essential needs will be distributed, bringing the total meals to one million.
Kareem Khidr, Chairman and Managing Director of PepsiCo Egypt, expressed his happiness in collaborating with the Egyptian Food Bank to continue the “Filling Their Hearts with Happiness” initiative, emphasizing the importance of participation and empathy, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. He stated: “This year, we are adopting a new strategy in the ’30 Days of Goodness and We Continue’ campaign, where our role extends beyond providing support to involve our employees and their families in making a real difference, enhancing the culture of solidarity and giving, and making goodness a tangible experience within the extended PepsiCo family. We believe that food and clean water are basic rights for every individual, and through this campaign, we work to alleviate the suffering of deserving families and create a positive impact in their lives.”
He added: “For over 75 years, we have committed ourselves as responsible investors in the Egyptian community, striving to develop communities to be healthier and more sustainable by providing clean water and food to thousands of families. We will all work to deliver food boxes and set up Iftar tables at the beginning of the first week of Ramadan. This campaign is not just a seasonal initiative but an integral part of our established social responsibility to achieve a sustainable impact that reflects our noble humanitarian values.”
Mohsen Sarhan, CEO of the Egyptian Food Bank, expressed pride in the partnership with PepsiCo Egypt, saying: “We are pleased with the positive impact that PepsiCo Egypt is making through this campaign to alleviate the suffering of thousands of families. PepsiCo Egypt has succeeded in presenting a positive model for integrating business with social responsibility, and we at the Egyptian Food Bank consider forming partnerships that achieve a tangible impact in communities to be an essential part of our mission.”
PepsiCo Egypt’s collaboration with the Egyptian Food Bank began during the COVID-19 pandemic when the company launched the “Gathering of Goodness Will Feed Millions” campaign in partnership with the Egyptian Food Bank. Over the following years, this collaboration continued to create a lasting impact, especially during Ramadan. In 2023 and 2024, PepsiCo enhanced its efforts to support food security through the “Filling Their Hearts with Happiness” campaign. PepsiCo’s efforts are not limited to Ramadan but extend throughout the year as part of its commitment to social responsibility, including programs to support and empower youth and farmers, reflecting the company’s commitment to developing the Egyptian community for over 75 years.
